A typical Herbst-Appliance consists of two metal rails that are cemented to&hellip;\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Herbst-Appliance<\/a>. It consists of a plastic-covered spiral spring which clips onto the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.madsen.de\/en\/lexikon\/fixed-brace\/\">fixed brace<\/a> and is used for the treatment of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.madsen.de\/en\/lexikon\/distal-occlusion\/\">distal occlusion<\/a> (Angle-Class II retrusive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.madsen.de\/en\/lexikon\/occlusion\/\">occlusion<\/a>). Unfortunately, it often breaks and can cause problems in the fixed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.madsen.de\/en\/lexikon\/brace\/\">brace<\/a> that the Jumper is attached to. Otherwise, it is generally a tried and tested and well-accepted treatment method.
