It can be performed either through the gum or with opening a flap in the gum. In the latter case the tissue is reattached after the corticotomy. &nbsp;This procedure makes it possible to significantly speed up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.madsen.de\/en\/lexikon\/orthodontic-treatment\/\">orthodontic treatment<\/a> for a period of around three to six months and it also makes it easier to achieve certain movements of the teeth.<\/p>\n<p>If there&rsquo;s a good cost\/benefit ratio for this undoubtedly effective treatment isn&rsquo;t sure.
