Philippe, was introduced to the market. These 2D brackets consist of only a flat base and two small tabs that allow the <a title=\"Bracket\" href=\"https:\/\/www.madsen.de\/en\/lexikon\/bracket\/\">bracket<\/a> to hold round wires. The extremely simple 2D bracket is less than 2 mm thick, making it the flattest<a title=\"Lingual\" href=\"https:\/\/www.madsen.de\/en\/lexikon\/lingual\/\"> lingual<\/a> bracket on the market. The 2D brackets can be bonded directly to the lingual surfaces without the need for a complex positioning process in the laboratory.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Four Types<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Four different types are available: a medium twin bracket, a narrow single-wing for lower anterior teeth, a wider twin bracket and a bracket with 3 lugs for attaching elastic chains and for better control of the tooth position. Simple tubes for the molars are also available.<\/p>\n<p>Forestadent&#8217;s lingual 2D brackets are mainly suitable for simple cases, especially the straightening of small deviations of the anterior teeth, as they cannot transmit <a title=\"Torque\" href=\"https:\/\/www.madsen.de\/en\/lexikon\/torque\/\">torque<\/a>, among other things. Due to the flat design, they should at least be good for patient comfort in suitable cases.<\/p>\n<p>For small anterior treatments, 2D brackets can therefore be an inexpensive and simple alternative to more expensive products.
